Who Uses It and Why
HypnoELP is for anyone who wants to try hypnotherapy without booking expensive in-person sessions. Users open the app, pick a topic they want to work on (quitting smoking, better sleep, building confidence), and listen to professionally produced audio sessions that guide them through hypnotic exercises.
Beyond pre-made courses, users can talk to an AI mentor through voice conversation for real-time guidance, or describe a personal issue and get a fully custom hypnotherapy audio generated just for them.
The Three Core Features
1. Pre-made Hypnotherapy Courses
7 professionally produced courses covering habits (smoking, drinking), productivity (doom scrolling), self-care (sleep, food), and emotions (shadow work). Each course includes multiple audio sessions plus an interactive workbook. Users choose male or female voice. Audio is encrypted and progressively downloaded. Premium subscribers get 2 course download slots.
2. AI Mentor (Voice Chat)
Real-time voice conversations with an AI therapist. The user speaks, their voice is transcribed (Whisper), processed by an AI model (Mistral), and the response is spoken back (Orpheus TTS). Uses a credit system — premium subscribers get 10,000 weekly credits; additional credits can be purchased ($2.95 for 4,000 or $5.95 for 10,000).
3. Custom Course Creation
Users describe their issue, goal, feelings, and motivation. An AI generates a personalized hypnotherapy script, which is then converted to audio via ElevenLabs TTS. The result is a custom audio session tailored to that person. Priced at $8.95 per custom course; referral credits can be applied.

Referral & Growth System
User-to-User Referrals
Any user can refer friends. Referral codes auto-generated on signup (format: U + 6 chars). When a referred user subscribes to premium, the referrer earns a $1 credit toward custom audio. One credit per referred user.
Influencer Program
Influencers earn $2 cash per premium signup from their code. Tracked via cohorts. Branded splash screen on app launch. Payout via Zelle or PayPal. HTTP POST to log-referral on subscription.
Share to Friends feature supports WhatsApp, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter/X, Email (via Resend API), and SMS.

Where Data Lives
HypnoELP Main (Supabase)
Primary database. 21 tables covering users, courses, sessions, purchases, subscriptions, credits, discounts, referrals, workbooks, journals, reports. All user data and app state lives here. 24+ edge functions handle server-side logic.
HypnoELP-AI (Supabase)
Separate project for AI cost tracking and chat logs. Keeps AI operational data isolated from the main app database.
Influencer Portal (Supabase)
Partner/influencer management. Stores influencer profiles, referral codes, splash screen uploads, and group assignments.
Cloudflare R2
Object storage for all audio files. Content is encrypted at rest and decrypted client-side in the app.
